NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION
OF AN ORDER

HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 – SECTION 119

FOOTPATHS H18 NETHER BROUGHTON

PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION

ORDER NO 1 2026

The above Order was confirmed as an unopposed Order on 7 May 2026 under section 119 of the Highways Act 1990.

The effect of the Order is to diver the footpaths as listed below. The footpaths to be diverted are:

1. Section of footpath H18 at Nether Broughton within the Borough of Melton shown as a bold continuous line on the attached Order map and extends from point A at Grid Reference 46954E 32557N in a generally north westerly direction for a distance of approximately 65 metres to point B at Grid Reference 46951E 32563N.

The new footpaths to be created are:

The bold broken line on the attached Order Maprunning from point A as previously described running in a generally north north-westerly direction for a distance of approximately 60m metres to point E at Grid Reference 46952E 32563N and then in a generally west north-westerly direction for a distance of approximately 10m metres to point B as previously described. A copy of the Order and Order Map have been placed at the Council Offices at Parkside, Station Approach, Burton Street, Melton Mowbray LE13 1GH where it can be viewed free of charge during normal opening hours. A copy of the Order and Order Map has also been placed on the Council’s website.

This Order comes into force immediately but if any person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, that person may under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within 6 weeks from 7 May 2026 to make an application to the High Court.
