(IMPOSITION OF A 20MPH AND 50MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 202
THE LEICESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL hereby gives notice that it proposes to make an Order under Sections 5, 81, 82(2), 83(2),
84 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”), and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, the effect of which will be:
To revoke a 50PMH speed limit in part on Lutterworth Road, Ullesthorpe
To impose a 20MPH speed limit on parts of the following roads:
Claybrooke Road, Frolesworth Road, Hall Lane, Mill Road, College
Street, Fairway Meadows, The Leys, Main Street, Manor Road,
Station Road, Stevens Close, The Dell, Green Gardens, South Avenue, Ashby Road, Sleath Drive, Lennard Close, Goodacre Road and Lutterworth Road, Ullesthorpe.
To impose a 50MPH speed limit on parts of the following roads:
Claybrooke Road, Ullesthorpe, Ullesthorpe Road, Claybrooke Parva,
Main Road, Claybrooke Parva and Lutterworth Road, Ullesthorpe A copy of the proposed Order, together with a plan illustrating the proposals and an explanatory statement giving the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected until 5th June 2026, during normal office hours at my offices, Room 200, County Hall, Glenfield, Leicester, LE3 8RA on the Council’s website at https://www.leicestershire.gov.uk/roads-and-travel/ cars-and-parking/traffic-management-consultations, at the offices of Harborough District Council and on the notice boards at Ullesthorpe Parish Council and Claybrooke Parva Parish Council. All documents relating to the proposal will remain available on request, in compliance with statute by contacting legalpropertyandenvironment@leics.gov.uk
Objections to the proposals, specifying the grounds on which they are made, should be sent in writing to the undersigned by not later than 5th June 2026, quoting reference TL/HTWMT/6156. Alternatively, objections can be emailed to
