(Temporary Closing And Waiting Restrictions On Down Green Lane/Amwell Lane, Wheathampstead) ORDER 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Down Green Lane/Amwell Lane, Wheathampstead from its junction with Ferrers Lane north westwards and north eastwards to its junction with Brewhouse Hill, a distance of approximately 1580m ("the length of Roads"), except for access.
An alternative route will be via: Ferrers Lane, B651 (Wheathampstead Road/The Hill), Butterfield Road and Brewhouse Hill.
ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of Roads, whilst works are in progress.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the length of Roads.
The Order will come into effect from 1 June 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 5 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the length of Roads.

(Temporary Closing Of The Footpath Situated Between No.1 And No.2 Kitchener Close, St Albans) Order 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using the footpath situated between No.1 and No.2 Kitchener Close, St Albans from a point 14m north east of its junction with Kitchener Close north eastwards for a distance of approximately 26m ("the Footpath").
An alternative route will be via: the footpath situated between No.1 and No.2 Kitchener Close, the footway situated on the north east side of Kitchener Close, the footway situated on the south east side of Gordon Close and the footpath situated between No.1 and No.2 Kitchener Close.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Footpath.
The Order will come into effect from 3 June 2026 and will be valid for a period of 6 months. The works are scheduled to take 3 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Footpath.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"):-
1. that length of Bedford Road, St Albans from its junction with Inkerman Road south eastwards for a distance of approximately 21m.
An alternative route will be via: Inkerman Road, Alexandra Road, B6426 Alma Road and Bedford Road.
2. that length of Inkerman Road, St Albans from a point in line with the northern boundary of No.9 Inkerman Road south westwards for a distance of approximately 19m.
There is no alternative route available, but access will be maintained wherever possible throughout the duration of the works.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"), except for access:-
1. that length of Marshalswick Lane, St Albans from its junction with Gurney Court Road south westwards to its junctions with B651 Sandridge Road, a distance of approximately 86m.
An alternative route will be via: Marshalswick Lane, Sandpit Lane and B651 Sandridge Road.
2. that length of Jersey Lane, St Albans from its junction with Marshalswick Lane south eastwards, north eastwards and south eastwards for a distance of approximately 222m.
An alternative route will be via: Marshalswick Lane, Sandpit Lane and Rose Walk.
3. that length of Rose Walk, St Albans from its junction with Jersey Lane south eastwards for a distance of approximately 10m.
An alternative route will be via: Jersey Lane, Marshalswick Lane, Sandpit Lane and Rose Walk.
The Order is needed because gas main works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
The Order will come into effect from 18 May 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 6 weeks to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-
1. that length of Abbey Gateway, St Albans from its junction with Romeland Hill south eastwards and south westwards to its junction with Romeland, a distance of approximately 77m.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Townsend Lane, Harpenden from its junction with Aplins Close south westwards to its junction with Douglas Road, a distance of approximately 188m ("the Road").

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Craigwell Avenue, Radlett from its junction with Theobald Street north eastwards to its junction with Craig Mount, a distance of approximately 40m ("the Road").
An alternative route will be via: Theobald Street, Aycliffe Road, Brampton Terrace, Stapleton Road, B5378 (Green Street/London Road), Radlett Lane, Shenley Hill, Williams Way and Craigwell Avenue.

Road Humps Notice (Clarence Road, St Albans) 2026
NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council in order to improve road safety propose under sections 90A – 90F of the Highways Act 1980 and in accordance with The Highways (Road Humps) Regulations 1999, to install new speed cushions in those lengths of Clarence Road, St Albans as specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

SCHEDULE: Speed Cushions – Those Sections Of Road Listed Below And As Set Out In The Order And Scheme Plan – Parts Of Clarence Road
(a) centred on a point 7.7 metres north of a point in line with the boundary between 128 and 130 Clarence Road.
(b) centred on a point 6.2 metres north of a point in line with the boundary between 23 and 25 Clarence Road.
(c) centred on a point 3.2 metres north of a point in line with the boundary between 112 and 114 Clarence Road.
(d) centred on a point 5 metres south of a point in line with the boundary between 100 and 102 Clarence Road.
The speed cushions will be constructed and lit in accordance with The Highways (Road Humps) Regulations 1999 at a height of approximately 65mm above the existing carriageway with on/off gradients of approximately 1:8 and side gradients of approximately 1:5.
