The Scottish Borders Council (Castle Wynd, Lauder) (Temporary Closing) Order 2026 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 19 May 2026 and is expected to remain in effect for a period of one day between the hours of 09:00 and 15:00. The Order is required for Scottish Water works.
When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along Castle Wynd, Lauder from Garden Cottage to the junction with The Avenue.
The alternative route for northbound traffic is via The Avenue, A68 West High Street and The Row to the point of closure, for southbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2026
The Scottish Borders Council (C86 Kirkhill, Legerwood) (Temporary Closing) Order 2026 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 20 May 2026 and is expected to remain in effect for a period of one day between the hours of 10:00 and 11:30. The Order is required for Scottish Water works.
When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along the C86 at Kirkhill, Legerwood.
The alternative route for eastbound traffic is via the C86, C89, A6105, A6089 and C86 to the point of closure, for westbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2026
The Scottish Borders Council (Abbey Place & Dean’s Close, Jedburgh) (Temporary Closing) Order 2026 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 00:01 on 18 May 2026 and is expected to remain in effect until 23:59 on 20 May 2026. The Order is required for BT works.
When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along the Lane between Abbey Place and Dean’s Close, Jedburgh.
The alternative route for eastbound traffic is via Dean’s Close and Abbey Place, for westbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.

(OLD STATION COURT CAR PARK, NEWTOWN ST BOSWELLS)
(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2026
The Scottish Borders Council (Old Station Court Car Park, Newtown St Boswells) (Temporary Closing) Order 2026 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force for a period of eleven weeks from 08:00 on 18 May 2026 and is expected to remain in effect until 17:00 on 31 July 2026 - 24 hour closure. The Order is required for formation of a storage area for surface dressing chips.
When the Order comes into effect no person shall (i) drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle; and (ii) permit any vehicle to wait or to be parked, in Old Station Court Car Park, Newtown St Boswells.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2026
The Scottish Borders Council (A7 Buckholm to Bowland, Galashiels) (Temporary Closing) Order 2026 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 18 May 2026 and is expected to remain in effect until 22 May 2026 between the hours of 08:30 and 17:00 each day. The Order is required for patching works.
When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along the A7 Buckholm to Bowland, Galashiels.
The alternative route for northbound traffic is via the A7, A6091, A68, A720 and A7 to the point of closure, for southbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.

(JIM CLARK RALLY)
(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2026
The Scottish Borders Council (Jim Clark Rally) (Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2026 is being made under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of three days, will come into force at 07:30 on 22 May 2026 and is expected to remain in effect until 20:00 on 24 May 2026. The Order is required to allow the staging of the 2026 Jim Clark Rally on certain closed public roads. When the Order comes into effect no person shall, without the authority of the Council:
(a) drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle; or
(b) permit any vehicle to wait or to be parked; or
(c) ride, or cause or permit to be ridden any cycle, or ride, lead or drive any animal; or
(d) walk, along those lengths of road on the dates and at the times specified in the Schedule below.
Pedestrian access to residential properties on or adjacent to the roads will be permitted at safe intervals and will be escorted by marshals on site.
A temporary 20mph speed restriction will be in force from 08:00 on 23 May 2026 to 20:00 on 25 May 2026 on Station Road, Duns from the existing 20mph signs southwards to a point 50 metres south of its junction with the C101 Gavinton Road.
Copies of the Order and maps illustrating the areas affected may be examined from Monday to Thursday from 09:00 to 17:00 and on Friday from 09:00 to 16:00 at Traffic and Road Safety, Network, Infrastructure and Environment, Scottish Borders Council, Newtown St Boswells and at the Library Contact Centre at 49 Newtown Street, Duns, TD11 3AU during normal working hours or by visiting www.scotborders.gov.uk/JimClarkRally.
