NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Waterdell Lane, St Ippolyts from a point in line with the north eastern boundary of No.53 Waterdell Lane south westwards and north westwards for a distance of approximately 86m ("the Road").
An alternative route will be via: Waterdell Lane, B656 London Road, Gosmore Road, Hitchin Road, High Street and Waterdell Lane.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order will come into effect from 1 June 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 12 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(Temporary Closing And Waiting Restrictions On High Street, Walkern) Order 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of High Street, Walkern from its junction with B1037 Stevenage Road south westwards and south eastwards to its junction with Benington Road, a distance of approximately 586m ("the Road"), except for access.
An alternative route will be via: B1037 (Stevenage Road/Fairlands Way), A1155 (Fairlands Way/St Georges Way), A602 (Monkswood Way/Broadhall Way/Hooks Cross), High Street, Walkern Road and Benington Road.
ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of Road, whilst works are in progress.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order will come into effect from 1 June 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 5 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"):-
1. that length of Bearton Road, Hitchin from its junction with Ickleford Road north westwards for a distance of approximately 175m.
An alternative route will be via: Ickleford Road, A505 (Bunyan Road/Fishponds Road), A600 Bedford Road and Bearton Road.
2. that length of York Road, Hitchin from its junction with Bearton Road south westwards for a distance of approximately 10m.
An alternative route will be via: Bearton Road, Ickleford Road, A505 Bunyan Road and York Road.
or via: Bearton Road, A600 Bedford Road, A505 (Fishponds Road/Bunyan Road), Bunyan Road and York Road.
3. that length of Brampton Park Road, Hitchin from its junction with Bearton Road north westwards for a distance of approximately 10m.
An alternative route will be via: Bearton Road, Old Hale Way and Brampton Park Road.
The Order is needed because gas main works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
The Order will come into effect from 1 June 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 18 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Hitchin Road, Preston from its junction with School Lane north eastwards to its junction with Preston Road, a distance of approximately 808m ("the Road"), except for access.
An alternative route will be via: School Lane, Hitchwood Lane, B651 Whitwell Road, B656 London Road, Gosmore Road, Hitchin Road, High Street and Preston Road.
ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of Road, whilst works are in progress.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

(Temporary Closing Of Various Public Footpaths And Footway In Codicote) Order 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using the following lengths of public footpath ("the Public Footpaths") and footway ("the Footway"):-
1. Codicote Public Footpath No.001 from its junction with B656 High Street eastwards, south eastwards and north eastwards to its junction with Bentinck Way, a distance of approximately 124m.
An alternative route will be via: the footway situated on the east side of B656 High Street, the footway situated on the south side of Tower Road, the footpath situated between No.18 and No.20 Tower Road and Codicote Public Footpath No.001.
2. Codicote Public Footpath No.007A from its junction with B656 High Street north eastwards to its junction with Valley Road, a distance of approximately 64m.
An alternative route will be via: the footway situated on the north east side of B656 High Street, Codicote Public Bridleway No.003 and the footway situated on the south west side of Valley Road.
3. the footway situated on the east side of the road to the rear Nos.76–106 Valley Road, Codicote from its junction with Valley Road south westwards and south eastwards for a distance of approximately 64m.
An alternative route will be via: the footway situated on the south west side of Valley Road, and Codicote Public Footpath 007A.
The Order is needed because gas main works are proposed to be executed on or near the Public Footpaths and Footway.
The Order will come into effect from 18 May 2026 and will be valid for a period of 6 months. The works are scheduled to take 3 weeks to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Public Footpaths and Footway.
