(WAITING RESTRICTIONS REVIEW 2025) ORDER 202*

Reading Borough Council under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 49, 53, 122(1) and 122(2) and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”) and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Paragraph 20 of Schedule 9 to the Act as amended proposes to make the above Order.

The general nature and effect of the Order will be to designate street parking loading places and introduce waiting and loading restrictions as specified in the schedules below:

SCHEDULE 1: No Waiting at any time

Tuns Hill Cottages (southwest-northeast section) northwest side

From a point 8 metres northeast of its junction with Wokingham Rd to its junction with the northwest-southeast section.

Tuns Hill Cottages (southwest-northeast section) southeast side

From a point 18 metres northeast of its junction with Wokingham Rd to a point 27 metres northeast of that junction.

Tuns Hill Cottages (southwest-northeast section) southeast side

From its junction with the northwest-southeast section to a point 5 metres southwest of that junction.

Tuns Hill Cottages (northwest – southeast section) southwest side

Copies of this Notice, the proposed order, plans, and the Council’s statement of reasons for making the order can be viewed online at https://reading.govocal.com/en-GB/. They can also be inspected during office hours by prior appointment only (via the email address below), Monday to Friday at the Civic Offices, Bridge Street, Reading from the date of this notice until 6 six weeks after the order is made.

Anyone wishing to submit representations either in support of or to object to the proposals, may do so via the Council’s consultation portal at https://reading.govocal.com/en-GB/ or send a written statement to highway.objections@reading.gov.uk Alternatively, you can write to Network Management, Reading Borough Council Civic Offices, Bridge St, Reading RG1 2LU quoting reference WRR2025.

All objections and other representations to the proposed order must be made in writing and must specify the grounds on which they are made and must be sent to arrive before by no later than 4 June 2026. Objections received after this date may not be considered.

Please note that in accordance with the current Freedom of Information legislation, the Council may publish and/or disclose the entire content of any correspondence (including letter, forms or emails) sent in response to this Notice and such responses may be subject to public scrutiny.
