(Temporary Prohibition of Waiting) Order 2026

NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this notice, WSCC intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit waiting at any time on both sides of the following lengths of roads in Ardingly:

B2028 Selsfield Road/Lindfield Road: from the entrance to Wakehurst Place, to a point 185M south of its junction with College Road; College Road: from its junction with Lindfield Road to is junction with Lodgelands Street Lane: from its junction with Selsfield Road, westwards to its junction with Balcombe Lane.

The Order also temporarily prohibits waiting at any time on the eastern side of the B2028 in Lindfield, from its junction with Alma Road southwards to its junction with Backwoods Lane. These restrictions are needed to maintain the safe flow of traffic while the South of England Show is taking place. The Order will come into effect on 4 June 2026 and remain in force until 8 June 2026.

(Lindfield: Various Roads) (Lindfield Village Run)

(Temporary Closure) Order 2026

NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close the following roads in Lindfield: Hickmans Lane: from Finches Park Road to The Welkin; High Beech Lane/College Lane: from Sandridge Lane northwards to Lower Ryelands Bridge and Copyhold Lane: from High Beech Lane/College Lane westwards for 765 M. These road closures are needed to allow the Lindfield Village Run to take place in safety.

The Order will come into effect at 1030hours on 17 May 2026 and remain in force until 1300hours the same day.

During the operative periods of this Order alternative routes for vehicles will be indicated and access to properties on the affected lengths of road will be maintained at all times.
