NOTICE Is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the following Order: C1226 From A49 To Hillcrest, Callow, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the C1226 From A49 To Hillcrest, Callow, near St Marys Church. Grid Ref: 349260/234515.
The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via the C1228 onto the A49 and vice versa.
The said closure is required due to overhead cabling for new connection works and the likelihood of danger to the public whilst the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 9th of June 2026 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 2 days (9.30-15.30hrs).
