COMMON ROAD, SOUTH CAVE (PART)
East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any person from causing any vehicle to proceed along Common Road, South Cave (between Jarratt Hill Lane and Carr Dike Lane).
The reason for the closure is to enable the proposed pole change works to be carried out and completed in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public.
It is anticipated that the works will be completed within one day. The alternative route for traffic affected by the Order is via the remainder of Common Lane, Carr Lane, Main Street, Ellerker Road, Ings Lane, Norfolk Bank Lane and Ellerker Lane.
The road will be closed to all through traffic but remain open at all times to pedestrians and for vehicular access to properties directly affected by the closure and for emergency services.
The Order will commence Wednesday 27 May 2026 and continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
