DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along GREAT HEAD LANE, BATCOMBE, between its junction with Stile Way and a point approximately 40 metres north west. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 01 June 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months, however, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 26 June 2026.
This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out repair works to single span brick arch and replacement of masonry arch.
A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections.

Temporary Closure Of Various Roads, Frome Vauchurch
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along VARIOUS ROADS, FROME VAUCHURCH; BACK LANE, FROME VAUCHURCH between its junction with Greenford Lane and its junction with Frome Lane, a distance of approximately 790 metres.
FROME LANE, FROME VAUCHURCH between its junction with Back Lane and its junction with A356, a distance of approximately 590 metres.
FROME LANE, FROME VAUCHURCH between Downfrome House and Frome Vauchurch Cottage, a distance of approximately 250 metres.
The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 18 May 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 05 June 2026.
This Order will enable Wessex Internet, safe access to install ducting and fibre cable.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of Dorset has made the above-mentioned Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.
When the Order comes into operation on 22nd May 2026 the effect of the Order will be to introduce no loading at any time restrictions along part of Trinity Street, Dorchester (predominantly located outside of the Post Office).

Temporary Closure Of A354 Blandford Road, Puddletown - Night Works
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along A354 BLANDFORD ROAD, PUDDLETOWN on the bridge across A35 between The Northbrook roundabouts, a distance of approximately 85 metres. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 18 May 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 23 May 2026. Works to be carried out between 2000hrs and 0600hrs.
This Order will enable NATIONAL HIGHWAYS LIMITED, safe access to complete essential bridge joint replacement.

Temporary Closure Of C59 Watery Lane, Tincleton
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 26th May 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months, however, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 9th June 2026.
This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out carriageway maintenance and resurfacing works.
The effect of the order is as follows:
[1] To impose temporary road closure on C59 Watery Lane, Tincleton from junction with Illsington Road to junction with C33 (in both directions), a distance of approximately 1910 metres. Please note the closures will be in operation, as and when indicated by signs on site. Advanced warning signs will be placed on the road two weeks in advance of the closure to indicate the exact dates the closure will affect the roads. A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections.
[2] To impose clearway and parking suspension as indicated by signs on site to prevent waiting or parking on the highway along C59 Watery Lane, Tincleton from junction with Illsington Road to junction with C33 (in both directions), a distance of approximately 1910 metres. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by this Notice may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

Temporary Traffic Management Order, Louviers Road, Weymouth
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 18 May 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 23 May 2026.
The road will be closed daily between Monday 18 and Thursday 21 May, between the hours of 09:00 and 16:00, and will be re-opened to traffic overnight.
The road will then be closed at night between the hours of 20:00 Friday 22 May and 06:00 Saturday 23 May, and will then re-open to traffic daily.
This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out essential highway maintenance works.
The effect of the Order is as follows:
[1] To impose temporary road closure on Louviers Road for its entirety
[2] To impose temporary clearway on Louviers Road for its entirety to prevent vehicles from stopping except those associated with the works
Please note that any vehicle waiting in contravention of temporary parking restrictions may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986. If a vehicle has been removed, the owner must contact the Council’s vehicle recovery contractor: Ashleywood Recovery Ltd/ Bride Valley Recovery Ltd on 01305 889421.

DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along St Thomas Road, Dorchester for its entirety. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 2 June 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months, however, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 16 June 2026. Working times will be between the hours of 5am and 5pm, works will not take place at night, over the weekend or on Bank Holidays.
This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out surface dressing works.
The effect of the Order will be:
[1] To impose temporary road closure on St Thomas Road for its entirety
[2] To impose temporary clearway on St Thomas Road for its entirety to prevent vehicles from stopping except those associated with the works
Any vehicle in contravention of any restriction imposed by this Notice may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986. If a vehicle has been towed the owner will need to contact our towing contractors Ashleywood Recovery Ltd/Bride Valley Recovery Ltd on 01305 889421.
A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections.

DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended.
The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 20 May 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 29 May 2026. Works will be carried out between 0800hrs and 1800hrs with Sunday working from 0900hrs.
This Order will enable Colas Ltd on behalf of Dorset Council to carry out remedial works.
The effect of this order will be:
[1] To impose temporary road closure on Jenner Way for its entirety.
[2] To impose temporary clearway on Jenner Way for its entirety to prevent vehicles from stopping except those associated with the works.
