Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the C184 Park Leaze Bridge to Poole Road Ewen, from outside the property known as ‘Blackbird Cottage’ to its junction with Lane to Field Farm Barn Kemble, for a distance of approximately 400 metres.

The reason for the said closure is for works by Thames Water.

The said road is expected to be closed from 20th May 2026 until 22nd May 2026 only.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE 401596 ROAD TO MANOR FARM (COATES PARISH)

COTSWOLD DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 401596 Road to Manor Farm from its junction with Stroud Road to Coates to its junction with Home Piece for a distance of approximately 53 metres.

The reason for the said closure is for works on behalf of Citi Utilities.

The said road is expected to be closed on from 18th May 2026 until 20th May 2026 only.

However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

Gloucestershire County Council has made an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the C262 Hedgeditch Lane, Shipton Moyne to the County Boundary for a distance of approximately 29 metres.

The reason for the closures is to allow for new water connection works.

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 400970 East End and footway from its junction with London Road to its junction with Lygon Court for a distance of approximately 133 metres.

The reason for the said closure is for footway resurfacing works.

The said road and footway are expected to be closed from 29th May 2026 until 5th June 2026 only. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

The 2017 Order will be varied by the attachment of plans similar to those used in this consultation and which identify the roads or sides of road to which the prohibitions and restrictions affect.

This Variation Order shall come into operation on 15th May 2026.

The lengths of roads fall within the Town of Lechlade-on-Thames within the Cotswold District in the County of Gloucestershire. The usual exemptions will apply to Statutory Undertakers and Local Authority vehicles carrying out duties in exercise of their statutory powers, and also in the case of emergency services vehicles and disabled person’s vehicles.

A copy of the Variation Order, the plans to be revoked, the new Sealed Plans to be inserted into the Schedule of Plans together with a copy of the Statement of Reasons and 2017 Order may be viewed at The Map Room, Shire Hall, Westgate Street, Gloucester, GL1 2TG and Lechlade Library, 2 Market Place, Lechlade, GL7 3AB during their normal working hours or online at http://www.gloucestershire.gov.uk/tros. Any person wishing to question the validity of the Variation Order or any provision contained in it on the ground that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the ground that any requirement of that Act or any Statutory Instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Variation Order may within six weeks of the date on which the Variation Order is made, apply to the High Court for this purpose.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PUBLIC FOOTPATH NTU 46

(TETBURY UPTON PARISH) (TETBURY TOWN) COTSWOLD DISTRICT

This Notice updates the notice issued on the 15th January 2026

NOTICE is hereby given that Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order to close temporarily under Sections 14, 15 and 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 (as amended) the Public Footpath described in the Schedule below;

Schedule

Part of Public Footpath NTU 46 in the town of Tetbury and the Parish of Tetbury Upton is to be temporarily closed to users under Sections 14, 15 and 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) from a point of approximately 9 metres from Cirencester Road in a generally easterly direction for approximately 216 metres to its point at a fenced path.

The said footpath falls within the Parish of Tetbury Upton in the town of Tetbury within the Cotswold District in the County of Gloucestershire.

The said closure is necessary to ensure public safety during development works.

The Order came into force on 19th January 2026 and it was anticipated that the Public Footpath would close on that day until 23rd May 2026. However, the works are still not complete and the said footpath will now be closed until the 19th July 2026 being six months from the date of the Order. If closure is still required after this date it will be necessary to apply to the Secretary of State for an extension of time.
