THE A43 TRUNK ROAD (BETWEEN ARDLEY AND ROTHERSTHORPE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC IN LAYBYS) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited (Company no. 9346363) has made an order on the A43 Trunk Road between Ardley and Rothersthorpe, in West Northamptonshire and Oxfordshire to allow cyclical maintenance work to be carried out.

The effect of the Order will be to close, at different times, any layby adjacent to the A43 –

(1) between its roundabout junction with the B430 and the slip roads leading to and from the M40 at Ardley, and the centreline of the A413 overbridge, near Silverstone; and

(2) between its roundabout junction with Brackley Road, at Towcester, and its roundabout junction with the A5123 near Rothersthorpe.

The layby closures are expected to be carried out, on weekdays only, between 13:00 hours and 06:00 hours, starting on Tuesday 26 May 2026 and continuing for approximately four weeks. The Order will come into force on 19 May 2026.

Vehicles being used for police, fire and rescue authority or ambulance purposes, and vehicles being used in connection with the works will be exempt from the closures.
