NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF MODIFICATION ORDER
SECTION 53 OF THE WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981
The Oxfordshire County Council Definitive Map and Statement of Public Rights of Way for Oxfordshire South Leigh and High Cogges Bridleway No. 30 Modification Order 2024
On the 22 April 2026, an Inspector appointed by the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs confirmed without modification the above order made under section 53 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981.
The effect of the order as confirmed is to modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by:
Upgrading South Leigh and High Cogges Footpath No. 30 to bridleway, from the road at High Cogges Farm at grid reference SP 3749 0904, southwest for approximately 865 metres, to Tar Road south-southwest of Springhill Farm at SP 3688 0847

The order as confirmed became operative on the date of confirmation but if a person aggrieved by the order wants to question its validity, on the ground that it is not within the powers of section 53 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, or on the ground that any requirement of Schedule 15 to the Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, he or she may, under paragraph 12 of Schedule 15 to the Act, within 42 days from 14 May 2026, make an application for that purpose to the High Court.
