SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:

A346 (Part), Marlborough; from its junction with The Parade to its junction with The Common.
B A4 (Part), Marlborough; from its junction with A346 for a distance of approximately 30m in a westerly direction to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing and associated works. Alternative route via A346 (unaffected length) – A3461 – A4 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 11 June 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 19:00 and 23:59 until 26 June 2026. C) Raffin Lane (Part), Pewsey; from its junction with Swan Meadow for a distance of approximately 120m in an easterly direction to enable Openreach Limited to carry out overhead cabling upgrades and associated works. No alternative route is available. This Order will come into operation on 12 June 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 1 day. This Order will come into operation on 08 June 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 07:30 and 17:00 until 12 June 2026. I) A360 (Part), Devizes; from its junction with Queens Road for a distance of approximately 150m in a northerly direction to enable Wessex Water to carry out defect repair works and other associated works. Alternative route via A360 (unaffected length) – A342 – A345 – A303 – A360 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 17 May 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00 for 1 day. Alternative route via C106 (unaffected length) – C104 – C67 – C76 – C88 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 18 May 2026 and the closure will be required 22 May 2026. L) Coldharbour Lane, Marlborough; from its junction with North View Place to its junction with C6 to enable Gigaclear Limited to carry out rectify defects and other associated works. Alternative route via C6 – Blowhorn Street – Lainyons Close – North View Place and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 23 May 2026 and the closure will be required for 3 days. M) Down Road (Part), Nettleton; from its junction with Driftor Hill for a distance of approximately 91m in a south westerly direction to enable Wessex Water Services Limited to carry out meter repair works and other associated works. Alternative route via Down Road (unaffected length) – C175 – Shire Hill – Drifton Hill and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 19 May 2026 and the closure will be required for 3 days. N) C136 (Part), Derry Hill and Studley; from its junction with A4 to outside its property known as School House to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out traffic island relocating works and other associated works. Alternative route via C136 (unaffected length) – A342 – A4 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 18 May 2026 and the closure will be required until 19 June 2026. O) C73 (Part), East Kennett and West Overton; from outside its property known as Meredith House for a distance of approximately 150m in a south easterly direction to enable Openreach Limited to carry out pole installation works and other associated works. Alternative route via C73 (unaffected length) – A4 – C38 – C73 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 22 May 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 for 1 day. P) C112 (Part), Bremhill; from its junction with C167 to its junction with C113 to enable Openreach Limited to carry out pole replacement works and associated works. This Order will come into operation on 20 May 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00 for 2 days. Q) Porte Marsh Road, Calne; from its junction with Oxford Road to its junction with Stanier Road to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing and other associated works. This Order will come into operation on 19 May 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 19:00 and 06:00 until 30 May 2026. R) UC 977301 (Part), Bremhill; from a point approximately 160m north east of its junction with C113 for a distance of approximately 230m in a north easterly direction to enable Openreach Limited to carry out pole replacement works and other associated works. Alternative route via UC 977301 (unaffected length) – C118 – C112 – C113 – UC 977301 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 20 May 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00 for 2 days. S) Castle Lane (Part), Devizes; from its junction with A360 for a distance of approximately 25m in a westerly direction to enable Openreach to carry out ducting work and other associated works. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs.
It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.


THE COUNTY OF WILTSHIRE (VARIOUS ROADS, VARIOUS PARISHES)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO.68) 2026

Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council intends to make an Order to close temporarily, to all vehicles, the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this notice. The Order is required to enable carriageway recycling, surface dressing and associated works and will be operative from the 08 June 2026 for a maximum period of 18 months. The closures are anticipated for varied duration only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works. It is anticipated that advance signs will be deployed 2 weeks prior to the closure dates. Access will be maintained where possible although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The closures are anticipated to take place between 08 June 2026 and 08 August 2026. Schedule 1.

  1. UC 05703 (Part), Urchfont; from its junction with B3098 for a distance of approximately 1200m in a southerly direction.
  2. Highway Common (Part), Hilmarton; from its junction with C15 for a distance of approximately 550m in a south easterly direction.

  4. Bowds Lane, Brinkworth, Lyneham and Bradenstoke; from its junction with Trub Lane to its junction with A3102.
  5. C15 (Part), Royal Wootton Bassett, Broad Town, Clyffe Pypard and Bushton; from its junction with C415 for a distance of approximately 2km in a south westerly direction.
  6. C129 (Part), Lyneham and Bradenstoke; from its junction with B4069 to its junction with Hollow Way.

Alternative routes (vice versa):

  1. No alternative route is available.
  2. via Highway Common (unaffected length) – Highway – C15.
  3. via B4042 – C76 – C74.
  4. via A3102 – C120.
  5. via C15 (unaffected length) – C120 – C123 – C110 – A3102 – C415.
  6. via Hollow Way – B4069.

B) Footpath 56 (Part), Purton; from its junction with Footpath 53, Purton to its junction with UC 098808 to enable development of southern section of site in accordance with planning application PL/2021/06918. Closure to allow for safe operation of site works until permanent routes have been established. Alternative route via signed route and vice versa.

The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This Order will come into operation on 08 June 2026 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required until 07 December 2026. Access will be maintained where possible although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The Order will have a maximum duration of 6 months. Footpath 55, Purton; from its junction with Footpath 56, Purton to its junction with Footpath 53, Purton to enable development of southern section of site in accordance with planning application – PL/2021/06918. Alternative route via Footpath 53, Purton – Footpath 56, Purton and vice versa.

The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs.
This Order which was due to expire on 19 May 2026 will now continue in force until 19 November 2027 or until completion of the works, whichever is earlier. The Order will have a maximum duration of 18 months. Notice of Making an Order Highways Act 1980 – Section 118 and Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 – Section 53A(2) The Wiltshire Council Parish of Worton Path no.10 (part) Extinguishment and Definitive Map and Statement Modification Order 2026

The above order, made on 30 April 2026, under section 118 of the Highways Act 1980 and section 53A(2) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, will extinguish the length of Public Footpath no.10 Worton at The Old Mill, from its junction with Mill Road at OSGR ST 9663-5756 leading in a generally south-easterly direction for approx 28m and then east-south-east for approx 18m to its junction with the unaffected section of footpath no.10 Worton at OSGR ST 9665-5752, having a width of 1.8m, as shown on the order map and thereupon the Devizes Rural District Council Area Definitive Map and Statement dated 1952 shall be modified accordingly.
