What is happening?

Warwickshire County Council

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
Warwickshire County Council has made the following Temporary Traffic Orders:

A38 SUTTON COLDFIELD BYPASS, MIDDLETON (SOUTHBOUND ONLY)

Order Effect: Road closed to southbound vehicular traffic, overnight as indicated below, between A38 Bassetts Pole Island to A38 Roundabout from M6 Toll T3 Southbound Slip and A38 Roundabout from M6 Toll T3 Southbound Slip to A38 Roundabout from M6 Toll T3 Northbound Off Slip. 

In addition, a 40mph speed restriction will be imposed on southbound carriageway between A38 Roundabout from M6 Toll T3 Southbound Slip to A38 Roundabout from M6 Toll T3 Northbound Slip effective 24 hours until the works are completed.

Reason for Order: Carriageway resurfacing and associated works, overnight only 20.00hrs - 06.00hrs – 18 - 22 May & 26 May - 4 June 2026.

Order Commences: 18 May 2026 for up to 18 months.

Anticipated Completion: 4 June 2026.

Access & Diversion: One-way diversion: A38 Sutton Coldfield Bypass Northbound, A446 London Road (from Bassetts Pole Island), A446 Lichfield Road, A4097 Kingsbury Road (Minworth Road) and A38 Sutton Coldfield Bypass Northbound. No Vehicular access & egress whilst works are in progress.

MINWORTH ROAD, WATER ORTON
Order Effect: Road Closed to vehicular traffic from Vesey Bridge to the junction of Minworth Road/Old Church Road.

Reason for Order: To enable water pipe renewal works.

Order Commences: 22 May 2026 for up to 18 months.

Anticipated Completion: 24 May 2026.

Access & Diversion: Marsh Lane, M42, A4097, Kingsbury Road, Minworth Road, Minworth parkway, Water Orton Lane and vice versa.

Contractor: Chevron Tm Ltd, Tel: 0330 008 0820.

GRENDON ROAD, POLESWORTH
Order Effect: A 30mph speed limit will be imposed.

Reason for Order: For the safety of all road users and of the contractors working on or near to the carriageway.

Order Commences: 20 May 2026 for up to 18 months.

Anticipated Completion: 20 May 2026.

HURLEY COMMON, KINGSBURY
Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic.

Reason for Order: To safely enable works to renew mains.

Order Commences: 19 May 2026 for up to 18 months.

Anticipated Completion: 5 June 2026.

Access & Diversion: Hurley Common, Brick Kiln Lane, Knowle Hill, Atherstone Road, Atherstone Lane, Wigston Hill, Windmill Lane, Main Road, The Orchard, Baxterley Road, Tamworth Road and vice versa.

Contractor: Signal Traffic Management, Tel: 01562 825557.

Warwickshire County Council proposes to make the following Temporary Traffic Orders:
C122 TRINITY ROAD, PICCADILLY, KINGSBURY

Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic from Piccadilly Way to Kingbury Link rbt.

Reason for Order: Carriageway resurfacing and associated works, overnight 20.00hrs - 06.00hrs (excluding Saturday & Sunday nights). 

Order Commences: 1 June 2026 for up to 18 months.

Anticipated Completion: 10 June 2026.

Access & Diversion: Piccadilly Way, A51, B5404 Watling Street, B5440 Marlborough Way, A5, Trinity Road and vice versa.

Contractor: Balfour Beatty, Tel: 03452 415302.

LIME GROVE, HURLEY
Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic.

Reason for Order: To safely enable works to install pipe.

Order Commences: 1 June 2026 for up to 18 months.

Anticipated Completion: 4 June 2026.

Access & Diversion: No diversion available.

Contractor: Chevron Traffic Management Ltd, Tel: 0330 008 0820.

BANK ROAD, ATHERSTONE
Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic.

Reason for Order: Works for pipe installation.

Order Commences: 1 June 2026 for up to 18 months.

Anticipated Completion: 4 June 2026.

Access & Diversion: Kings Avenue, Queens Road and vice versa.

Contractor: Chevron Traffic Management Ltd, Tel: 0330 008 0820.

For all of the above temporary orders, pedestrian access to and egress from properties and land situated adjacent to the length of road to be closed will be maintained at all times. Vehicular access will be maintained where possible.
