Oxford, Leckford Place
Prohibition of Vehicles Date of Order: 18/5/2026 Coming into force: 25/5/2026 This Order is being introduced because of footway and kerbing works which are anticipated to complete by 12 June 2026. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding or waiting in Leckford Place. This is a 24 hour road closure. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative route will be signed locally. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T17641/JP)_

Headington, Footpath Masons Alley Date of Order: 17 November 2025
Came into force: 25 November 2025 This Order was introduced for public safety because of the partial collapse of a boundary wall. Works are anticipated to be completed by May 2027 due to delays on establishing ownership and responsibility. This is a 24 hour footpath closure. The effect of the Order is to close temporarily the section of Masons Alley from opposite Quarry School Place to Trinity Road. Exemptions are included for emergency services, for Works and for pedestrian access to premises which are only accessible from the closed sections of footpath. The alternative route will be signed via Trinity Road, Old Quarry Place and vice versa. Appropriate signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. With the consent of the Secretary of State for Transport the order will remain in force until May 2027 or until the works are complete whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T16971/AC)

Oxford - Woodstock Road Prohibition of Through Traffic Date of Order: 11/05/2026 Coming into force: 23/05/2026 This Order is being introduced because of excavation and reinstatement works which are anticipated to take until 05/06/2026 to complete. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding southbound in that part of Woodstock Road coming from the Wolvercote Roundabout until no. 390. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for police, fire and ambulance services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative route for traffic affected by the closure is Godstow Road, First Turn, and Mere Road. Traffic will also be diverted via the A40 to Cutteslowe Roundabout, A4615, Banbury Road, and St Giles'. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T17994/JP)
