NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because electrical connection works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the under mentioned highway(s); Leeds City Council has today made an Order, the effect of which is that: No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to travel along Weardley Lane, Harewood, Leeds; from outside property no.13 to outside property ‘Colluna’. A diversionary route for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via: Weardley Lane, High Weardley Lane, Rawden Hill, Arthington Lane, Otley Road and vice versa. Essential access to and from premises and for emergency vehicles will be maintained. The Order shall come into operation on Monday 18 May 2026 and will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier. (Neville Street, Leeds) (Temporary Traffic Management Measures) Order 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Leeds City Council as traffic authority for the Leeds Metropolitan District, intends (in not less than 7 days) to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, due to road reconfiguration and resurfacing works. The effect of the Order will be that: No person shall cause any vehicle, between 20:30 hours and 05:00 hours (Sundays to Fridays) to: 1. Proceed along the whole of Bishopgate St; Neville Street and Mill Hill; Swinegate (between the rail bridge and Bishopgate) o Concordia Street (one way, northbound, from a point 25m from the junction with Swinegate 2. Turn left from Sovereign Street onto Swinegate (except for access). 3. (Various Events – Temple Newsam Leeds) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Coach & Taxi Restriction) Order 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because of the likelihood of danger to the public, (holding of events at Temple Newsam Park), Leeds City Council intends (in not less than 7 days) to make an Order, the effect of which will be to introduce the following traffic restrictions during the event dates and times listed in Schedule below. A. No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to use The Elm Walk. B. No person shall cause or permit any vehicle (other than a vehicle requiring access to property on or adjacent to the road) to use: 1. The full lengths of Gibson Drive; Pickard Court; Barton Court; Lennox Gardens; Stewart Close; Manor Garth; Pendil Close; Maltby Court; Manor Croft; Newsam Green Road. 2. Colton Road; between its junctions with The Elm Walk to and Gibson Drive. 3. Pontefract Lane; from its junction with Junction 45 of the M1, in a generally easterly direction to its termination 4. Temple Newsam Road; from its junction with New Temple gate in a southerly direction to its termination. C. No person shall cause any vehicle to Wait upon: 1. No Waiting on Temple Newsam Road, from the Junction of Selby Road for its entire length. 2. Irwin Approach entire length 3. No Waiting on Colton Road, for a distance of 350m from its junction with Selby Road, Provided That such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the relevant event. Access for emergency services and pedestrians will be maintained to all premises situated or adjacent to any road or part of road to which restrictions apply including other premises accessible for pedestrians from and only such road.
Schedule – Event Dates & Closure Times:
• Slam Dunk North – Between 06:00 hours on Sunday 24 May & 01:00 hours on Monday 25 May 2026
• Run for Life & Pretty Muddy – Between 07.00 hours and 16:00 hours on Saturday 11 July 2026 & between 07:00 hours and 14:30 hours on Sunday 12 July 2026.
In addition on Sunday 24 May 2026; it will also be necessary to: a. Temporarily Prohibit all vehicles except buses, to stop for more than 20 mins on that part of Sovereign Street, that runs for a distance of 30m in a SW direction from the rear of the existing coach bay restriction.
b. Change the existing loading bay on Sovereign Street to a shared loading & taxi restriction.
c. Prohibit the use of the northern carriageway edge of that part Sovereign Street that runs for a distance of 16m, from a point 17m from its junction with Swinegate: I) except between 5.00am and 10:30am II) except for Hackney Carriages at all other times.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Leeds City Council, acting as the Local Traffic Authority and in exercise of its powers under Sections 81, 84, 85, 87, 89, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act’), the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other enabling powers, proposes to make the above Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a 20MPH Speed Limit along the whole lengths of: Calvert Crescent; Nightingale Court; Nightingale Gardens and Nightingale Grove. (Off-Street Parking Places)(Consolidation) Order 2010 – (Amendment) (No.2) Order 2026 – Amendment of Existing Order to Include Car Parks at Wetherby
One Stop, Wetherby Leisure Centre & Wetherby Sports Association Car Parks & to modify Existing Arrangements at Crossley Street Car Park
Leeds City Council proposes to make the above Amendment Order under the powers contained in Sections 2, 32, 33 and 35 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Amendment Order will be to amend the Leeds City Council (Off-Street Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2010, so as to: 1. Incorporate Wetherby One Stop, Wetherby Leisure Centre & Wetherby Sports Association Car Parks as Off-Street Parking Places (operating Monday to Saturday 8.00am-6.00pm) subject to a maximum period of stay of 3 hours (except for vehicles issued with and displaying a valid permit). 2. Amend the maximum period of stay for the existing Off-Street Parking Place at Crossley Street Car Park (operating Monday to Saturday 8.00am-6.00pm) from 2 hours to 3 hours (except for vehicles issued with and displaying a valid permit). The classes of vehicles eligible to park within the off-street parking places will be all motor vehicles (not having a trailer attached); the weight of which does not exceed 3.5 tonnes maximum gross weight); mobility vehicles and motorcycles. Full details of the proposals including a plan showing the affected car parks, and the Statement of Reasons for the Amendment Order are available on request by e-mailing the address below.
