CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL
(HANSCOMBE END ROAD, SHILLINGTON)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Hanscombe End Rd, Shillington between Lower Gravenhurst and Hillfoot Rd.

This temporary closure is required to enable ROW bridge installation work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 8 to 12 June 2026. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route will be via Hillfoot Rd, Church St, High Rd, Hanscombe End Rd and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 8 June 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Tyrells End, Eversholt from jct with Hills End to o/s Helford House.

This temporary closure is required to enable pole replacement works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 8 to 9 June 2026 between the hours of 0800-1800. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via C100, B5704, Potters End, Tyrells End and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 8 June 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Barton Road, Pulloxhill between High street junction to Gagmansbury lane junction.

This temporary closure is required to enable safe access to the overhead structure for new connection works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place on 12 June 2026 between the hours of 0930 and 1530. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Flitton Rd, Silsoe Rd, Ampthill Rd, High St, Barton Rd, A6, Sand Lane and vice versa

The Order will come into operation on 12 June 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of

a) H igh Street, Gravenhurst from numbers 18 to 44.

b) Shillington Road, Gravenhurst from High Street to outside Millfield.

This temporary closure is required to enable pole replacement and overhead cabling works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from

26 to 18 May 2026 between the hours of 0800am and 1800pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via

a) H igh Street – Campton Rd, Gravenhurst Rd, Rectory Rd, A507, Clophill Rd and vice versa.

b) Shillington Road North – Barton Rd, Lower Gravenhurst, Hanscombe End Rd, Bury Rd, Gravenhurst Road and vice versa.

c) Shillington Road West Campton Road, Shillington Rd, Meppershall Rd, Upton End Road, Gravenhurst Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 26 May 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Flitwick Road, Ampthill outside Grange Stud Farm.

This temporary closure is required to enable s50 sewer connection work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place on 24 May 2026 between the hours of 0800-1800. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure will be via B530, A507 and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 24 May 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Aspley Hill/ West Hill and Bedford Road, Aspley Guise between Woburn Road junction and Venison Lodge.

This temporary closure is required to enable Pre Surface Dressing/ Surface Dressing/ Lining and Civils Works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place between the dates 26 May to 2 June the second phase is expected to take place between the dates 22 June to 10 July 2026 between the hours of 0900-1530hrs. and 0800 to 1300hrs on Saturdays.

The alternative route for this closure is via School Lane, B5704, Woburn Rd and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 26 May 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.
