What is happening?

GLOUCESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY CLOSURE 401485 BLACK QUARRY HILL TO SYNWELL LANE
(WOTTON UNDER EDGE TOWN) STROUD DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 401485 Black Quarry Hill to Synwell Lane from its junction with Park Lane to outside of the property known as ‘Reform Lodge’ for a distance of approximately 1180 metres.
The reason for the said closure is for pole testing and cabling works.
The said road is expected to be closed between the hours of 08:00hrs and 15:30hrs on 15th May 2026 only. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE 401466 PITT COURT (NORTH NIBLEY PARISH) STROUD DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 401466 Pitt Court from outside the property known as ‘Denewood’ to outside the property known as ‘Hill Grove’ for a distance of approximately 95 metres.
The reason for the said closure is for works by Severn Trent Water.
The said road is expected to be closed from 08:00hrs on 18th May 2026 until 17:00hrs on 19th May 2026 only or until the said works have been completed. For further information, please contact Gloucestershire Highways on 08000 514 514 or visit www.gloucestershire.gov.uk.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE 501433 FORT LANE (DURSLEY PARISH) STROUD DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 501433 Fort Lane from outside the property known as ‘Gardener’s Keep’ to its junction with Woodmancote for a distance of approximately 153 metres.
The reason for the said closure is for pole works.

GLOUCESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (VARIOUS HIGHWAY ALTERATIONS ON EVERLANDS, HOPTON GREEN, HOPTON ROAD AND MILLBANK, CAM (STROUD DISTRICT) 2026)

NOTICE is hereby given that Gloucestershire County Council in exercise of its enabling powers under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 & 84, and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Traffic Management Act 2004 and Sections 90A, 90G and 90 (1)(a) of the Highways Act 1980 (as amended) intends:

  1. To introduce the proposed stopping restrictions detailed in Schedule 1 below; and
  2. To introduce No Waiting at Any Time restrictions detailed in Schedule 2 below; and
  3. To introduce a 20mph zone on the extents of road outlined in Schedule 3 below; and
  4. To remove the existing speed cushions at the locations described in Schedule 4 below; and
  5. To install new speed cushions in the locations described in Schedule 5 below; and
  6. To install build-out chicanes at the locations described in Schedule 6 below.
