What is happening?

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
SWARKESTONE ROAD, WESTON-ON-TRENT

WHEN: 26 May to 30 May 2026 (00:00 to 23:59)

WHERE: Swarkestone Road, Weston-On-Trent between Chellaston Cottages and Weston-on-Trent.

REASON: To facilitate pole erection and excavation for connection.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Swarkestone Road, Main Street, Weston Road, Derby Road, London Road, Broad Lane, A6 Jct. B5010 Roundabout, Shardlow Road, Unnamed Slip Roads on A50 at Jct. with A514, A50 Jct. A514 Roundabout and vice versa.

Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
