Notice is given that the Council of the City of Peterborough has made an Order pursuant to section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:

The City of Peterborough Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Order 2026 –
Glinton Road, Helpston                                                                     Ref: 27-068

The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Glinton Road, Helpston as lies between points 20 metres either side of Helpston Level Crossing. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: via Glinton Rd, Maxey Rd, Helpston, Maxey Road, Maxey, High Street, Maxey Road, Northborough, A15, Helpston Road, Glinton, Helpston Road, Etton and vice versa. The proposed Order will come into force on the 16/05/2026 and will continue until the railway level crossing maintenance works have been completed or until the 15/05/2027, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site.

The City of Peterborough Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Order 2026 –
Occupation Road                                                                                Ref: 27-069

The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Occupation Road, as lies between Gladstone Street and Lincoln Road. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: Gladstone Street, Searjeant Street, Lincoln Road and vice versa. The proposed order will come into force on the 18/05/2026 and will continue until the rigging and pole swap works have been completed or until the 17/05/2027, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site.

The City of Peterborough Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Order 2026 –
Towler Street                                                                                       Ref: 27-070

The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Towler Street, as lies between number 6 Towler Street and St Marks Street. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: 1) St Marks Street, Church Walk, Lincoln Road, Burghley Road and 2) Burghley Road, St Marks Street. The proposed order will come into force on the 20/05/2026 and will continue until the leak repair works have been completed or until the 19/05/2027, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site.

The City of Peterborough Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Order 2026 –
Helpston Road, Ailsworth                                                                 Ref: 27-053

The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Helpston Road, Ailsworth, as lies between Main Street and Maffit Road. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: Helpston Road, Main Street, Peterborough Road, Marholm Road, Castor Road (Marholm), Stamford Road, Castor Road (Helpston), Helpston Road and vice versa. The proposed order will come into force on the 19/05/2026 and will continue until the blockage clearance works have been completed or until the 18/05/2027, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site.

The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Cardinals Gate, as lies between numbers 4 and 12 Cardinals Gate. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. There is no alternative route for vehicles affected by this order. The proposed order will come into force on the 27/05/2026 and will continue until the cabling works have been completed or until the 26/05/2027, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site.

The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as The Reaches, as lies between Bukehorn Road and Hayfield Cottage. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: Bukehorn Road, Crowland Road, A47, The Reaches and vice versa. The proposed order will come into force on the 26/05/2026 and will continue until the water main replacement works have been completed or until the 25/05/2027, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site.

The proposed order will come into force on the 26/05/2026 and will continue until the localised resurfacing works have been completed or until the 25/05/2027, whichever is the earlier. There is no alternative route for vehicles affected by this order; access will be maintained to affected properties. The proposed order will come into force on the 26/05/2026 and will continue until the communication pipe repair works have been completed or until the 25/05/2027, whichever is the earlier. The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as King Street, Lolham, Maxey as lies between points 20 metres either side of Lolham Level Crossing. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: via B1443 King St, West St, Glinton Rd, Helpston Rd, A15, Maxey Rd and High St. The proposed Order will come into force on the 24/05/2026 and will continue until the railway level crossing maintenance works have been completed or until the 23/05/2027, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site.

The proposed order will come into force on the 26/05/2026 and will continue until the various surfacing and associated works have been completed or until the 25/05/2027, whichever is the earlier.
