What is happening?

BOROUGH OF ROCHDALE

(MIDDLETON ROAD, SYCAMORE AVENUE & GLAMIS AVENUE, HEYWOOD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICLES ORDER)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING AT ANY TIME ORDER) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council intend, in not less than seven days, to make an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting at anytime along;

(i) Middleton Road from its junction with Coronation Avenue in a northerly direction for a distance of 90 metres.

(ii) Sycamore Avenue from its junction with Middleton Road in a easterly direction for a distance of 15 metres.

(iii) Glamis Avenue from its junction with Middleton Road in a easterly direction for a distance of 15 metres.

The Order is required to facilitate the safe undertaking of a Gas mains replacement within the carriageway.

The Order will be operative from 00:00 on the 11th May 2026 until 23:59 on the 5th June 2026.

The alternative route for vehicles will be signed on site as and when required.
