Creech St. Michael - Temporary Road Closure To Enable Openreach Duct Laying Works

What is happening?

Somerset Council Parish of Creech St. Michael Temporary Closure of Ryesland Way and Caray Grove

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, have made an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Ryesland Way - from outside property number 7 Ryesland Way to outside property number 9 Ryesland Way and Caray Grove - from the junction with Ryesland Way, northwards for a distance of 10 metres. A total distance of 45 metres. This Order will enable Openreach to lay new duct.

The Order becomes effective on 14th May 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 19th May 2026 and last until 19th May 2026 between the hours of 09:30 - 15:30 for a total of 6 hours. There is no alternative route for this closure.
