Lydeard St. Lawrence - Temporary Road Closure Due To Pole Replacement Works
What is happening?
Somerset Council Parish of Lydeard St. Lawrence Temporary Closure of Chapel Leigh Road and Pyleigh Manor Farm Lane
Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, have made an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Chapel Leigh Road - from the junction with West Leigh Lane, eastwards for a distance of 142 metres and Pyleigh Manor Farm Lane - from the junction with West Leigh Lane, northwards for a distance of 107 metres. A total distance of 249 metres. This Order will enable National Grid to carry out pole replacement works.
The Order becomes effective on 14th May 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 20th May 2026 and last until 20th May 2026 between the hours of 08:00 - 18:00 for a total of 10 hours.
