Public Notice - Informal Parking Consultation - New Permit Type - Business Visitor Voucher
A potential new short stay business visitor voucher is being explored to support visitors to local businesses located within Controlled Parking Zones (CPZs). The permit would operate on a virtual voucher basis and be intended for use by customers or visitors of eligible local businesses.
This informal consultation aims to gather views from residents, businesses, and stakeholders.
Any decision to create such a permit type will require a formal statutory consultation and if progressed, the availability, eligibility criteria, duration of stay, operational arrangements and charges for this permit would be developed in more detail.
Objections or comments to the informal consultation should be made in writing to: The Parking Development Team, Civic Centre, St Peters Street, St Albans, Hertfordshire, AL1 3JE, or by email to: parking.consultations@stalbans.gov.uk, by 04 June 2026, stating the grounds on which they are made.
