What is happening?

Somerset Council Parish of Wiveliscombe Temporary Closure of Burges Lane and Luxton Way

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, have made an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Burges Lane - from the junction with Ford Road to the junction with Golden Hill and Luxton Way - from the junction with Burges Lane, north-westwards for a distance of 122 metres. A total distance of 340 metres.

This Order will enable MJL Contractors to carry out new development highways and drainage works.

The Order becomes effective on 14th May 2026 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The works are expected to commence on 18th May 2026 and last until 31st July 2026 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 75 days.
