Temporary Prohibition of Use of Footpath 72, 73 and part of Footpath 74
Shrewsbury (off Oteley Road).

Shropshire Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make an order temporarily prohibiting the use of Footpath 72 leaving Oteley Road, opposite Sutton Grange Drive at grid reference SJ 4995 1033 running in a general south westerly direction to the property known as The Hawthorns at grid reference SJ 4971 1012 and Footpath 73 leaving the junction of FP 72 & 71 at the property known as The Hawthorns at grid reference SJ 4971 1012 running in a general northerly direction to the access road then continuing as
Footpath 74 to exit on Oteley Road (opposite the golf course) at grid reference SJ 4968 1047.

The Order will come into operation on 21st May 2026 until the 21st November 2026, in the first instance and is required on the grounds of public safety to allow development to take place

Walkers can still use FP 66 from Sainsburys, under the railway bridge, to join FP UN1 and FP UN1 from Oteley Road, alongside the football stadium to Sainsburys or south to the footpath under the A5 bypass and joining with the existing Rights of Way network to Bayston Hill.
