Prohibition of Waiting & Loading & Provision of Parking, Various Roads, Scarborough, Amendment No 85, Order 2026 Notice is hereby given that on 01/05/26 The North Yorkshire Council made an Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 4(2), 32(1) & 35(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 & Part IV of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act & under the Traffic Management Act 2004, the effect of which is to amend “North Yorkshire County Council (Prohibition of Waiting & Loading & Provision of Parking) (District of Scarborough) Order 2007” & “The Borough of Scarborough (Prohibition of Waiting & Loading & Provision of Parking) Consolidation Order 2011” by introducing the restrictions specified in the Schedules below:- Schedule 1 - North Yorkshire County Council (Prohibition of Waiting & Loading & Provision of Parking) (Various Roads In The District of Scarborough) Order 2007 Sandsend, Sandsend Road, North east side from a point 52 metres south east of its junction with Dunsley Lane to a point 533 metres south east of its junction with Dunsley Lane - Prohibition of waiting of motor caravans from 11pm – 7am. Sandsend, Sandsend Road, South west side from a point 412 metres south east of its junction with Dunsley Lane to a point 545 metres south east of its junction with Dunsley Lane - Prohibition of waiting of motor caravans from 11pm – 7am Schedule 2 - The Borough of Scarborough (Prohibition of Waiting & Loading & Provision of Parking) Consolidation Order 2011 Scarborough, Royal Albert Drive, Landward (south & west) side from its junction with Peasholm Gap to its junction with Marine Drive - Prohibition of waiting of motor caravans from 11pm – 7am. A copy of the Order, which comes into force on 15/05/26 together with a map showing the roads affected may be examined at County Hall, Northallerton & at Scarborough Library & Information Centre, Vernon Road, Scarborough YO11 2NN during normal office hours from 14/05/26 to 12/06/26 & also viewed online at

If you wish to question the validity of the above Order or of any provision contained in it, on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act, or of any Instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within 6 weeks of 01/05/26 make application to the High Court for the purpose.
