What is happening?
THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL
(GREEN LANE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City
Council propose to make an Order under Section 14(1)(a)
of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by
the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991,
prohibiting vehicles from proceeding on Green Lane
between its junctions with Green Lane and Aldersley Road.
The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen
months, but it is anticipated that the works will be undertaken
on 26 May 2026, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00.
The diversion route is: Green Lane, Aldersley Road and
vice versa.
The Order is required to facilitate a cherry picker outside
Blakeley Green House to enable works to the exterior, by
Blade Traffic Management.
