What is happening?

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
LOWES LANE, SWARKESTONE
WHEN: 17 May to 19 May 2026
WHERE: Lowes Lane, Swarkestone between Moor Lane and Barrow Lane.
REASON: To facilitate pole renew.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Moor Lane, Sinfin Lane, Swarkestone Road, Barrow Lane, Lowes Lane and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road.
The road will reopen as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised.

The County Council has made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
