PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO. 4 STREETHAY PARISH (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Staffordshire County Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any pedestrians from proceeding along the section of Public Footpath No. 4 Streethay Parish from 22m north of its intersection with Curborough and Elmhurst Public Footpath No 11 for approximately 207m.
The closure is required under the provision of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 Section 14 (1) (b) due enable the former fishing lakes to be drained and infrastructure improvements to take place.
An alternative route is available.
A plan will be displayed on site to show the length of path to be closed and unaffected rights of way in the area.
This Order came into operation on 11/11/25 and has been extended for a further 12 months until 10/5/26 or until the risk of danger to the public is over, whichever is the earlier. This extension has been given approval by the Secretary of State. If necessary, the Order may be extended for a further period.
