What is happening?

SANDWELL METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL

The Borough Council of Sandwell (Lawrence Lane, Plant Street & Stacey

Close, Cradley Heath) (Temporary Road Closures, One Way Suspension & Right Turn Ban) Order 2026 intends to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Lawrence Lane, Plant Street & Stacey Close, Cradley Heath.

Lawrence Lane, Cradley Heath will be closed from west of its junction with

Claremont Street, to its junction with Reddal Hill Road. Stacey Close, Cradley

Heath will be closed from its junction with Lawrence Lane for approximately

20 metres. Plant Street, Cradley Heath will be closed from its junction with

Lawrence Lane for approximately 20 metres (25/05/2026 - 19/06/2026) (access to any affected frontages will be maintained, but only when safety permits).

A right turn ban will be in place at Reddal Hill Road at the junction of Lawrence Lane (25/05/2026 - 19/06/2026) (access to any affected frontages will be maintained, but only when safety permits).

A one way suspension will be in place at Plant Street from its junction with Reddal Hill Road to the southern boundary of property number 8.

A traffic diversion route will be signed via Reddal Hill Road, Heathfield Way, Halesowen Road, Lawrence Lane and vice versa.

The maximum duration is 18 months, but the work is expected to be completed by 19/06/2026 effective from 25/05/2026 (24hrs). Purpose – To facilitate access for maintenance works by Cadent.
