Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 As Amended – Section 16a Temporary Prohibition Of Vehicular Traffic Order 2026 - Crystal Palace Park Events – Festival Republic - Friday 26th June 2026, Saturday 27th June 2026, Sunday 28th June 2026, Friday 3rd July 2026 And Saturday 4th July 2026

Notice Of Proposals

1. THE Council of the London Borough of Bromley HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that in order to enable the holding of the Crystal Palace Park Events – Festival Republic between the hours of 8:00 am and 12:00 midnight on the specified dates. THEY PROPOSE to make an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following restrictions: –

The following roads will be closed to through traffic at the times the individual signs are displayed on Friday 26th June 2026, Saturday 27th June 2026, Sunday 28th June 2026, Friday 3rd July 2026 and Saturday 4th July 2026.

Access Only Road Closures
Old Cople Lane, Crystal Palace – for its entire length
St Aubyn’s Road, Crystal Palace – for its entire length
With Agreement From LB Croydon

Milestone Road, Crystal Palace – for its entire length.
Crystal Palace Park Access Road, at junction with Anerley Hill – for its entire length.
Cintra Park, Crystal Palace – for its entire length.
Ledrington Road, Crystal Palace – for its entire length.
Crystal Palace Station Road – for its entire length and full closure outside the station.
Pleydell Avenue, Crystal Palace – for its entire length.
Palace Road, Crystal Palace – for its entire length.
Brunswick Place, Crystal Palace – for its entire length.
Anerley Vale – for its entire length.
Hadlow Place, Crystal Palace – for its entire length.
Waldegave Road, Crystal Palace – for its entire length.
Pascal Mews, Crystal Palace – for its entire length.
Hamlet Road, Crystal Palace – for its entire length.
Thicket Road – for its entire length.
Versailles Road – for its entire length.
Melbourne Court – for its entire length.
Madeline Road – for its entire length.
Anerley Park – for its entire length.
Full closure of Anerley Park from Penge West Station to the junction with Penge High Street from 20:30 – 00:00 on each event day. Relaxation of existing one-way restrictions as and when indicated by the placement of traffic signs.
Penge West Station Access – full closure of the access road that serves Penge West Station.
William Booth Road – for its entire length.
Ridsdale Road – for its entire length.

One-Way Systems / Banned Turns / Prohibitions of Waiting and Loading
With Agreement From LB Croydon

Belvedere Road – One-Way Traffic System, eastbound, between Tudor Road and Mowbray Road.
Banned right turn movements from Cintra Park, Chipstead Close, Anerley Grove, Waldegrave Road. Hamlet Road, Maberley Crescent, Maberley Road onto Belvedere Road.
Banned left turn movements Auckland Road and Belvedere Road at junctions with Belvedere Road Maberley Road, one-way traffic system southbound, between Belvedere Road and Mowbray Road.
Maberley Road point of no entry at the junction of Mowbray Road.

With Agreement From LB Lambeth / Southwark

(a) ban vehicles proceeding: –
(i) in the south to north arm of the southern side of Jasper Road from turning right into the north-west to south-east arm of Jasper Road (outside Nos. 31 and 33 Farquhar Road).
(ii) in Westow Hill from turning left into Jasper Road.
(iii) in Farquhar Road from turning left into the northern arm of Jasper Road.
(iv) in Farquhar Road from turning right into the northern arm of Jasper Road.

(b) ban waiting (including waiting for the purpose of delivering or collecting goods or loading or unloading a vehicle) by vehicles in that length of Farquhar Road which lies between a point 20 metres north of the northern kerb-line of the northern arm of Jasper Road and a point 20 metres south-west of the south-western kerb-line of the southern arm of Jasper Road;

(c) impose a one-way traffic system in that length of the east to north-west and then south-west to north-east arms of Jasper Road, which lies between the south-western kerb-line of the southern arm of Farquhar Road and the northern kerb-line of the northern arm of Farquhar Road, in a north-westerly and then north-easterly direction.

2. THE prohibitions referred to in paragraph 1 above shall apply only during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

3. THE Order will come into effect from 8:00 am until midnight on Friday 26th June 2026, Saturday 27th June 2026, Sunday 28th June 2026, Friday 3rd July 2026 and Saturday 4th July 2026.

4. NOTHING in this order shall prevent pedestrian access at any time to any premises situated on or adjacent to any road to which the order relates, or to any other premises which are accessible from such a road.

5. NOTHING in this Order shall apply to anything done with the permission or direction of a Police Officer in uniform or Traffic Warden.

6. ACCESS to properties will be maintained as far as is practicable from either side of the closure as appropriate. Emergency access and egress routes will be maintained at all times. Pedestrian access will be available at all times during the events.
