LONDON BOROUGH OF EALING
NOTICE OF MAKING OF TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ORDER FOR PLANNED WORKS
AFFECTING: VARIOUS ROADS IN THE
LONDON BOROUGH OF EALING.

Ealing Council has made the following temporary traffic order under sections 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:

Title of order
This order can be referred to as: Temporary traffic order for planned works - TT 5068 Council Elections – 2026.

Reason for order
This order is needed to allow for the safe conduct of the Council Elections.
This includes the delivery of temporary polling stations and ballot boxes for the Council Elections 2026.

Effect of order
1. Vehicles will be temporarily prohibited from waiting, loading and unloading in roads listed below & on the roads specified in the schedule to this order during the dates and times listed.

2. The No-Left turn restriction on Longfield Avenue will be lifted on 7th May 2026 between 21.00hrs and midnight.

3. 7 parking bays outside Perceval House, Longfield Avenue will be suspended from Thursday 7th May 2026 at 17.00 hours until Friday 7th May 2026 until 8am.

4. The eastbound bus lane from 14-16 Uxbridge Road, Perceval House to New Broadway Ealing Town Hall will be available to all traffic on 7th May 2026 between 21.00 hrs to midnight.

5. The following temporary restrictions on vehicle movements will take effect on Longfield Avenue on 7th May 2026.

(a) Vehicles will be prohibited from waiting, loading and unloading in any of the pay and display bays between the times specified on the suspension signage.

(b) No entry into Longfield Avenue from New Broadway from 21.00hrs to midnight on 7th May 2026.

(c) Northbound Travel will be prohibited on Longfield Avenue from 21.00hrs to midnight on 7th May 2026.

(d) Vehicles exiting the Dickens Yard car park will be prohibited from turning right into Longfield Avenue from 21.00hrs to midnight on 7th May 2026. 

(e) From 21.00hrs to midnight, access to Longfield Avenue from Gordon Road will be prohibited, with an exception to Dickens Yard residents and vehicles belonging to electoral officials.

6. From 7th May 2026 for a full day the school streets restrictions and prohibitions will apply at the specified locations in the schedule to this order where appropriate “no-waiting cones and barriers” are placed along the length of the affected public highway. School Streets enforcement camera will be disabled. 

7. While the temporary waiting, loading and unloading restrictions are in place.
(a) waiting, loading and unloading of vehicles on the part of the roads to which the prohibitions and restrictions apply, will be enforced with the issue of a Penalty Charge Notice. If necessary, illegally parked vehicles may be removed by the council using its powers under section 99 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

(b) displaced vehicles should follow the advance warning, diversion and suspension signs displayed and any other traffic management set in place.

8. This Order does not apply to:
(a) anything done at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a police community support officer (PCSO).

(b) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance.

(c) any official vehicle being used in connection with the Elections.

Date order will come into force 7th May 2026

Maximum duration of order
The restrictions that have been temporarily implemented with this order will end on 9th May 2026.
