The Secretary of State gives notice of an Order made under Section 247 of the above Act entitled “The Stopping up of Highway (North West) (No.18) Order 2026” authorising the stopping up of a southern part width of Grange Road, Birkenhead in the Metropolitan Borough of Wirral, Merseyside. This is to enable development as permitted by Wirral Council under reference DPP4/24/01070.
Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, from the Secretary of State, National Transport Casework Team, PO Box 1393, Newcastle Upon Tyne, NE99 5FQ or nationalcasework@dft.gov.uk (quoting SU09825366). They may also be inspected during normal opening hours at Birkenhead Central Library, Borough Road, Birkenhead, Wirral, CH41 2XB.
Any person who wishes to challenge the validity of the decision to make the Order may apply to the High Court within 6 weeks from 13 May 2026.
