NOTICE OF MAKING TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTION ORDER IN THE NEW FERRY AREA 2026
Notice is hereby given that Wirral Borough Council have made the above order under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by section 1 and Schedule 1 of the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 and of all other enabling powers to enable proposed works to be executed on or near the roads specified in the proposed order (having already advertised notice of intent).
The effects of the order, the alternative route for vehicular traffic, the date the order comes into force and its maximum duration is set out below.
Bebington Road (Temporary Prohibition of Driving) New Ferry Order 2026
The effect of this order will be to amend the existing Bebington Road and Various Street, New Ferry (One Way Street and Prohibition of Driving) Order 1986 to allow loading and unloading at any time on (i) Bebington Road from the south west side of its junction with New Chester Road to the north east side of its junction with Boundary Road (ii) Woodhead Street from its junction with Bebington Road for a distance of 15.2m (50ft) in a south easterly direction.
Maximum Duration of the order: From 20 May 2026 and will continue to be in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway.
HIGHWAYS & INFRASTRUCTURE
Notice is hereby given that Wirral Borough Council in exercise of its powers under sections 90 A 90 C and 90 D of the Highway Act 1980, and all other enabling powers.
METROPOLITAN BOROUGH OF WIRRAL – (WHITFIELD LANE, HESWALL WARD AND PENSBY AND THINGWALL WARD) – SCHEME REF NO. – DC-TfG-2526-24
Propose to introduce speed humps as set out below:
2no. round top humps in the vicinity of Heswall Primary School along Whitfield Lane.
1no. flat top raised table in the vicinity of 65 Whitfield Lane.
1no. flat top raised table in the vicinity of 99 Downham Road South.
1no. flat top raised table in the vicinity of Heswall Primary School along Downham Road North.

NOTICE OF MAKING TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTION ORDER IN THE WIRRAL COUNCIL AREA 2026
Notice is hereby given that Wirral Borough Council intend to make the following Temporary Road Traffic Regulation Order under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended and of all other enabling powers to enable Wirral Council to complete the resurfacing of roads on or near the roads specified in the proposed order.
The effects of the order will be to prohibit traffic proceeding along the following lengths listed below.
The roads will be temporarily closed (in part or in full as required) for a period of time as determined necessary to enable the Council to carry out its roads surfacing programme. All junctions adjoining the below roads will be temporarily closed when necessary.

Alternate routes will be signed.
Maximum Duration of the order: From 27th May 2026 until the 31 March 2027 as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway. The above restrictions will only take place during certain times to accommodate phasing of works when necessary for those particular roads and will not operate for the full duration of the dates advertised.

LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT 1972 SECTION 123 AS AMENDED BY PARAGRAPH 14 OF PART V OF SCHEDULE 23 TO THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT PLANNING AND LAND ACT 1980 TAKE NOTICE that Wirral Borough Council in pursuance of its powers contained in the abovementioned Act intends to dispose of an area of public open space at the site of Victoria Park, Bebington Road, Birkenhead, Wirral CH42 6SU comprising the cricket ground within the park containing approximately 9700 square metres. The plan showing the area of public open space land to be disposed of can be provided by either email on request by emailing enquiriesestatesteam@wirral.gov.uk or by writing to the Director of Regeneration & Place, Wirral Borough Council, P.O. Box 290 Brighton Street, Wallasey, Wirral CH27 9FQ in either case quoting reference EC/Legal 25196684.
