HYSBYSIR trwy hyn fod Cyngor Bwrdeistref Sirol Torfaen wedi gwneud Gorchymyn o dan Adran 21 Deddf Cyfrifoldebau Heddluoedd Trefol 1847 a’r holl bwerau galluogi eraill, i gau rhan o’r ffyrdd a nodir yn yr Atodlen i’r Hysbysiad hwn, a hynny rhwng 11:00am ac 1:00pm ar 23ain o Fai 2026.

Mae angen cau’r ffyrdd er mwyn cynnal Gwasanaeth Canmlwyddiant Senotaff Pontnewydd a sicrhau bod y cyhoedd yn diogel tra bydd y digwyddiad hwn yn mynd rhagddo.

Mae’r llwybr amgen ar hyd Lowlands Road, Lowlands Crescent, Five Locks Road, Ty Trappa, Mount Pleasant Road, Commercial Street, Richmond Road ac i’r gwrthwyneb. (Bydd mynediad i drigolion a’r gwasanaethau brys cyn belled ag y bo modd yn rhesymol).

2. Clark Avenue, Pontnewydd, Cwmbrân rhwng Lowlands Road a Fields Avenue.

TOWN POLICE CLAUSES ACT 1847

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2026

100TH ANNIVERSARY SERVICE OF PONTNEWYDD CENOTAPH

NOTICE is hereby given that Torfaen County Borough Council has made an Order under Section 21 of the Town Police Clauses Act 1847 and all other enabling powers the effect of which is to close a section of the roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice between 11:00am and 1:00pm on 23 May 2026.

The closure is to enable the 100th Anniversary Service of Pontnewydd Cenotaph to take place and ensure the safety of the public whilst facilitating the event.

The alternative route is along Lowlands Road, Lowlands Crescent, Five Locks Road, Ty Trappa, Mount Pleasant Road, Commercial Street, Richmond Road and vice versa. (Access for residents and emergency services will be maintained as far as is reasonably practicable).

SCHEDULE

1. Lowlands Road, Pontnewydd, Cwmbran between Parklawn Close and Park View.
2. Clark Avenue, Pontnewydd, Cwmbran between Lowlands Road and Fields Avenue.
