The County of Cornwall (Road From Prince Park House To Treliver, Road From Rostigan Hill To Prince Park Farm, Bodmin) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council intends to make the above Order in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the undermentioned lengths of road in Bodmin. 

This prohibition is necessary for jetting works and it is expected that the closure will be from 12th June 2026 for one day. 

The prohibition will be in force between the hours of 0730 and 1800, weekdays only.

Roads affected - Road From Prince Park House To Treliver, Road From Rostigan Hill To Prince Park Farm, Bodmin from Prince Park House to Demelza Mill.

Cornwall Council 
Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (RTRA 1984)
Temporary Traffic Restriction Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council intends to make the above Order in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to prohibit the use by traffic over an area of highway being Tolcarne Road, Newquay from Tolcarne Coach Park to junction with Holywell Road.

Notice is further given that Cornwall Council intends to make the above order in exercise of its powers under section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily suspend the existing one-way order The County of Cornwall (Newquay) (Restrictions on Driving) (Consolidation) Order 1991 Holywell Road (Class III) for its entire length.

The Council is satisfied that the Order is needed because tree works are being executed on or near the road. The Order will come into operation on 10th June 2026 and the works are expected to be completed by the 12th June 2026. The prohibition will be in force between the hours of 0730 and 1700 on a daily basis, weekdays only. 

Nothing in Paragraph 1 of this Order will apply to emergency services, traffic associated with the works required within the highway specified above, any vehicle being used for the purposes of an undertaker in an emergency, such as loss of utility supplies and anything done with the permission of or at the discretion of a police officer.

Pedestrian access to residents and businesses will be maintained.

Temporary Speed Restriction Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council is under the above Order dated 25th August 2025 continuing to impose a temporary speed restriction of 40 MPH over an area of highway being A39 Between Gonvena Hill And Tredruston Road, Wadebridge for its entire length for approximately 3840 metres.

The Council is satisfied that this further restriction if necessary owing to engineering difficulties and the Order is needed because works to re-waterproof bridge deck are being executed on or near the road. The Order which commenced on the 8th September 2025 and is currently in force for up to eighteen months will now continue until the 7th September 2026. 

The restriction will be in force 24 hours a day, weekends included.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council is under the above Order dated 12th April 2026 continuing to prohibit the use by traffic over an area of highway being Mount Road, Bodmin from junction with Lower Road to grid reference SX 14130 68193. The Order which commenced on the 13th April 2026 and is currently in force for up to eighteen months will now continue until the 26th June 2026. 

The prohibition will be in force 24 hours a day, weekends included. 

The Council is satisfied that this further restriction is necessary owing to engineering difficulties and the Order is needed due to a collapsed cattle grid.

Nothing in this Order will apply to traffic associated with the works required within the highway specified above, any vehicle being used for the purposes of an undertaker in an emergency, such as loss of utility supplies and anything done with the permission of or at the discretion of a police officer.

Cornwall Council
Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (RTRA 1984)
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council has made the above Order dated 12th May 2026 in exercise of its powers under section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to prohibit the use by traffic over an area of highway being Footpath 6 in the Parish of St Breward between grid references SX 09506 76583 and SX 09589 76578.

The Council is satisfied that the Order is needed because of the likelihood of danger to the public due to an unsafe surface. 

The Order will come into operation on 13th May 2026 and the works are expected to be completed by the 21st October 2026. 

The prohibition will be in force 24 hours a day, weekends included. The road was previously closed for reasons of public safety by notice under Section 14(2) of the RTRA 1984 from the 22nd April 2026 for a period of up to 21 days.

Nothing in this Order will apply to traffic associated with the works required within the highway specified above, any vehicle being used for the purposes of an undertaker in an emergency, such as loss of utility supplies and anything done with the permission of or at the discretion of a police officer.
