Notice of Making - Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 - Section 14(1) - Store Road, North Woolwich, E16 - (Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic) Order, 2026
The NEWHAM LONDON BOROUGH COUNCIL, hereby gives notice that it made an Order - Store Road, North Woolwich, E16, (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic), Order 2026. The general effect of which will be to prohibit parking on the northwestern side, between points 20 metres and 70 metres northeast of its junction with Pier Road.
1. The Order will be made to enable Populo Living and its contractors to relocate three bus stops and bus clear way marking areas. This is to facilitate the redevelopment of the bus turning circle on Pier Road, on or near the road.
2. The prohibition applies from 08:00 hours Thursday 14?? May 2026 until 23:59 hours Saturday 13?? November 2027 or on completion of the works, whichever is the sooner.
3. The general effect of which will be to prohibit vehicular parking and loading and unloading by vehicles, at such times when appropriate traffic signs are displayed in accordance with the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016(c).
4. Nothing in this Order shall apply to vehicles being used for Fire, Ambulance or Police purposes, or with the permission or at the direction of a Police Constable in uniform, or a suitably Authorised Officer. Nothing in paragraph 3 of the Order shall apply to vehicles necessarily used in connection with the works.
