(A329 SKIMPED HILL LANE, BRACKNELL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2026
Notice is hereby given that Bracknell Forest Borough Council has made an Order, in accordance with Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along:
a) A329 Skimped Hill Lane in both directions between the junctions of Market Street and Skimped Hill Lane Roundabout
The alternative route for vehicles affected by this Order will be via: A329 Skimped Hill Lane, Twin Bridges Roundabout, A322 Downshire Way, Horse and Groom Roundabout, A329 Bagshot Road, Market Street and this route reversed.
The purpose of this Order is to ensure public & worker safety while a mobile crane is in use to dismantle a tower crane.
The proposed Order will come into operation on the 14th June 2026, and its maximum duration will be 6 months. However, it is currently planned that the road closure will be in place on the 14th June 2026 – 15th June 2026.
This Order shall only apply when the appropriate signs and markings are displayed in the road.
