Bishops Waltham - Temporary Road Closures Due To Telecoms Works
What is happening?
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE - VARIOUS ROADS, BISHOPS WALTHAM, WINCHESTER
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council intends to make an order under S.14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to allow works to be carried out on or near the road.
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: that part of Bank Street between its junction with Lower Lane and its junction with Bank Street
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: that part of High Street between its junction with Bank Street and its junction with a point approximately 50 meters thereof
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: that part of St Peters Street between its junction with Bank Street and its junction with a point approximately 50 meters north
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: BANK STREET - LOWER LANE - FREE STREET - BANK STREET ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: HIGH STREET – CROSS STREET - BROOK STREET - LOWER LANE - FREE STREET - BANK STREET
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: N/A
DURATION OF ORDER: from 25th April 2026 for a period of 6 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 5 days, working full time) The road closure has been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for Centercomms LTD to carry out works. Centercomms LTD will provide reasonable facilities to allow access to adjacent premises and provide notice to those directly affected while the work is being carried out.
