OF THROUGH TRAFFIC
PART OF GOWTHORPE LANE, GOWTHORPE
Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire
Council intends not less than seven days from the
date of this notice to make an Order, the effect of
which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding
along Part of Gowthorpe Lane, Gowthorpe from
its junction with Willow Tree Farm Access Road
westbound to the entrance to Ash Tree Lodge
commencing 2 June 2026 to allow for tree trimming/
felling to achieve vegetation clearance from the
overhead electricity supply. The road closure is
necessary to enable the works to be carried out
in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of
the public. The Order is valid for 18 months, but
it is anticipated that the works will be completed
within seven hours. The alternative route for traffic
affected by the road closure will be via Gowthorpe
Lane, Kirklands Lane, The Balk, A166 Clay Hill, A166
Bridlington Road and Hatkill Lane, Full Sutton CP,
Bishop Wilton CP, Skirpenbeck CP, Wolds Weighton
Ward. The diversion route will be signed at the time of
closure. The road will be closed to all through traffic
but access will be maintained for residents, emergency
vehicles and pedestrians. Further information can
