SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF THROUGH TRAFFIC
RED HOUSE LANE, MARKET WEIGHTON
Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire
Council intends not less than seven days from the date
of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will
be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Red
House Lane, Market Weighton commencing 28 May
2026 until 1 June 2026 to allow works for installation
of ducting in the verge using moleplough at Red House
Lane, Market Weighton. The road closure is necessary
to enable the works to be carried out in a manner
consistent with ensuring the safety of the public.
The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is anticipated
that the works will be completed within five days.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the road
closure will be via York Road, Holme Road, Holme
Road Roundabout and Giant Bradley Way, Market
Weighton CP, Wolds Weighton Ward. The diversion
route will be signed at the time of closure. The road
will be closed to all traffic but access will be maintained
for emergency vehicles. Further information can be
