NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF PUBLIC PATH ORDER HIGHWAYS ACT 1980
THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (LINDHURST BRIDLEWAY NO.2)
DIVERSION ORDER 2026
On 6th May 2026 the Nottinghamshire County Council confirmed the above order made under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980.
The effect of the Order as confirmed is to divert the whole width of the public right of way commencing from a point SK 5673 5692 (marked A on the order plan), and proceeding in a south-easterly and then north easterly direction for a distance of approximately 114 metres to a point SK 5683 5693 (marked B on the order plan), as shown on the displayed map to a route commencing from a point SK 5673 5692 at the junction with the south-western remainder of Lindhurst Bridleway No.2, (marked A on the order plan), and proceeding for a distance of approximately 112 metres in a north-easterly then east-south-easterly direction on a grass and earth surface to a point, SK 5683 5693, (marked B on the order plan), the junction with the north-eastern remainder of Lindhurst Bridleway No.2, and with a width of 4 metres.
A copy of the Order as confirmed and the Order Map may be seen free of charge at my Office at the address below between the hours of 9.00 am and 4.30 pm Mondays to Fridays inclusive 13th May 2026 until 24th June 2026. Copies of the Order and Map may be purchased from my Office at the address below at a cost of £5 per copy. The documents will also be available to view on the County Council’s website under Rights of Way News, at the offices of Newark and Sherwood District Council, Castle House, Great North Road, Newark, Notts, NG24 1BY, and a copy may also be seen at Mansfield Central Library, Four Seasons Centre, West Gate, West Gate, Mansfield, NG18 1NH during their respective normal opening hours
This Order comes into force on 13th May 2026 but if any person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity or that of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act, as amended, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under Paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by Paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within 6 weeks from 13th May 2026, make an application for the purpose to the High Court.
