CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(CHURCH SQUARE, LEIGHTON BUZZARD)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends

not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Church Square, Leighton Buzzard outside numbers 4-6.

This temporary closure is required to enable meter exchange work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place on 10 June 2026 between the hours of 0930 and 1500. The road will be closed at all times during this period. The alternative route for this closure will be via Church Square and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 10 June 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Bassett Road, Leighton Buzzard opposite number 10.

This temporary closure is required to enable meter exchange work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place on 26 May 2026 between the hours of 0900 and 1600. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure will be via Mill Rd, Church St, West St and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 26 May 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of North Street, Leighton Buzzard outside number 6.

This temporary closure is required to enable comms pipe repair work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 26 to 28 May 2026. The road will be closed at all times during this period. There is no alternative route.

The Order will come into operation on 26 May 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the full length of Clarence Road, Leighton Buzzard from junction With Heath Road to outside number 2.

This temporary closure is required to enable junction changes and realignment work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 22 May to 5 June 2026. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Garden Hedge, Church St, Heath Rd and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 22 May 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.
