What is happening?

Somerset Council Friarn Street, Bridgwater in the Parish of Bridgwater (Temporary Traffic Restrictions) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that on the 8th day of May 2026 Somerset Council made the above Order in exercise of the provisions of Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as previously advertised on the 28th day of April 2026, to introduce temporary traffic restrictions on the roads specified in the Schedules below. This Order will come into operation on the 12th day of May 2026 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The Works are expected to commence on the 20th day of May 2026 until the 22nd day of May 2026 (24 hours) to enable Wessex Water to renew at stop tap. The restrictions will only apply when indicated by traffic signs. A copy of the draft Traffic Regulation Order and the associated plans can be examined at www.somerset.gov.uk/TRO.
