Church Street - Temporary Road Closure Due To Utility Works

Somerset Council Parish of Wedmore Temporary Closure of Church Street

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Church Street -from the junction with Glanville Road to the junction with The Borough. A total distance of 179 metres. This Order will enable Openreach to carry out new customer supply works.

The Order becomes effective on 26th May 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 4th June 2026 and last until 5th June 2026 between the hours of 19:00 - 06:00 for a total of 1 night.
