RHONDDA CYNON TAFF COUNTY BOROUGH COUNCIL
(CROES BYCHAN BRIDGE, LLWYDCOED)
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rhondda Cynon Taff County Borough Council have made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, which will have a maximum duration of eighteen months.
The closure is necessary to facilitate remedial works to Croes Bychan Bridge.
The effect of the Order will be to close Croes Bychan Road, from a point 250 metres south-west of its junction with Cwmynysmintan Road, south-westwards for a distance of 140 metres
Alternative Route - available via Croes Bychan Road, Crematorium Road and A465 Heads of the Valleys Road
Access will be maintained to premises.
Access WILL NOT be maintained for pedestrians or emergency services.
The closure is expected to be in operation between the following dates and times, or until such time as the works has been completed: -
• Full closure between 18th May and 17th July 2026
