Naworth Drive - Temporary Traffic Regulation Order
What is happening?
CITY OF NEWCASTLE UPON TYNE (NAWORTH DRIVE) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2026
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Newcastle upon Tyne intend, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit any traffic to proceed on Naworth Drive from a point 80 metres north from Hillhead way for 45 metres northwestwards.
2. There is no alternative route for traffic.
3. The order is required to allow works to be carried out on or near the highway.
4. Exemptions will be provided for vehicles and personnel engaged in the said works and police, fire brigade and ambulance vehicles and personnel on emergency call.
5. The Order will come into operation on 9 June 2026 at 08:30 and will continue, as and when the relevant traffic signs are displayed, up to 9 June 2026 at 16:00 or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is the earlier.
