Portsmouth City Council (Wiltshire Street) (Temporary Road Closure) (Temporary Prohibition of Loading and Waiting) (No.94) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order comes into operation from 27th May 2026 and the effect will be as follows:
A) TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE AND PROHIBITION OF LOADING AND WAITING
WILTSHIRE STREET
From its junction with St Pauls Road to Meriden Road.
B) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate electrical works.
C) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 27th May 2026 to 12th June 2026 or completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
D) DIVERSION
Vehicles will be diverted from Meriden Road, Park Street, St Pauls Road and Melbourne Place, St Vincent Street, Winston Churchill Avenue, Lord Montgomery Way, Hampshire Terrace, Wiltshire Street.
Pedestrian access will be maintained around the works.
Cycles to follow vehicle diversion or dismount and follow pedestrian diversion around the works.
